Mainer in Vermont

My trip to Vermont. So my friends from Vermont who lived up here for a few short years (which is how I met them) have been asking me to come down for a visit.  I had picked a couple of dates out, but the first one didn’t work.  So last weekend we took off to Vermont, my daughter & I. Day 1: We got up at 4:30 and planned on leaving straight away, but we didn’t get under way until 6 AM. We decided not to take the Turnpike but to take US route 202 through Maine, in to NH, and then … Continue reading Mainer in Vermont

Camping – Beaver Brook, Monmouth

So… it never fails to rain whenever I take time off to go camping.  Mind you I’m not fond of camping.  Tenting in the rain is the worst.  However this year my Dad & Mom L let me borrow their pop-up camper for the weekend.  (Under the understanding that I basically sign my life away if any damage happens to it. Not those exact words, but close enough.

Today’s Daily Prompt is: When was the last time someone told you they were proud of you? I don’t think I’ve had anyone recently just come up and say “I’m so PROUD of you.” Usually the praise I recieve is something along the lines of “Look how well you’re doing for yourself.” or “You’ve come so far since a couple of years ago.” It’s okay because I know what they mean by these types of things. They ARE proud of me. They’re glad I’m not such a looser anymore. They’re glad I’m not hitting them up for money, or a … Continue reading Not those exact words, but close enough.

Daily Prompt: Burnt

Daily Prompt: Burnt. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and I’ve decided that my new project of priority is to back up all of my photos & video ASAP.  Saving them in multiple locations on multiple types of devices. I would take my albums, my laptop, my cats, my journals, & my cameras.  The kids can fend for them selves.  Kidding!  The kids would be the first to get booted out the door.
